Bianca Belair: Jade Cargill Is The Best Person To Help Me End It With Damage CTRL Once And For All

Bianca Belair says the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles are coming with her and Jade Cargill.

On the opening night of the 2024 WWE Draft, SmackDown selected Bianca Belair as the first overall pick. Later in the show, Kayla Braxton announced that Belair and Jade Cargill would challenge the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship at WWE Backlash.

In a SmackDown Exclusive, Bianca Belair was asked to comment on how getting drafted first overall felt.

"It feels amazing. I always felt like SmackDown was a home to me. The very first place where I won my very first title, a lot of history here. But you heard it, Bianca Belair, number one draft pick, one of one, number one, the only one, Bianca Belair," Belair said.

Belair was then asked to comment on the announcement that she and Cargill would be challenging the Kabuki Warriors for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship at WWE Backlash.

“Doesn’t that sound nice, Bianca Belair [and] Jade Cargill in the ring together, on the same team. Who’s gonna stop us? Kabuki Warriors, one been fighting for my life for two-plus years with the Kabuki Warriors. I’ve had a lot of amazing women fight alongside me, but I never had somebody like Jade Cargill, so she is the best person to help me end it once and for all with Damage CTRL, and I’m gonna do that. We’re gonna do that at Backlash. Those tag team titles are coming with us. I’ve touched a lot of gold, but I’ve never touched those tag team titles, so we gonna make some more history. We gonna keep going up," Belair said.

Byron Saxton noted that Cargill had not been drafted yet, and he asked Belair whether she had any concerns about Cargill potentially getting drafted to a different brand.

“There is. That's what’s so exciting, but also nerve-wracking about the draft. There’s so many possibilities. I really do hope that Jade gets drafted to SmackDown because everybody knows how much power that we have. If she doesn’t, it’s gonna be the shortest-lived tag team. We’re gonna into the draft, out of the draft as tag team champions, but we’ll just have to see what happens. I really hope that she gets drafted to SmackDown because everybody knows the power that we have. So let’s just manifest that," Belair said.
